Our Fast Pitch session with Hyacinth Empinado is scheduled for Wed., June 7, at 2 pm ET. Hyacinth is a multimedia producer and is looking for highly visual health and medical feature stories (embargoed or breaking news is generally too fast).
She's looking for “quirky devices,” such as medical robots or virtual reality, medical science art, such as beautiful bacteria, “unusual or inspiring characters,” and “people trying to make a difference.” She has a national beat and likes to travel to location to shoot video, esp. if on the east coast. The samples of her work below will help you come up with creative ideas.
