EVENT DESCRIPTION
Our Fast Pitch session (a virtual event) with Bob Cronkleton, Kansas City Star data journalist, is scheduled for Wed. Apr. 26, at 2 pm ET. Bob is interested in data visualization stories, and wants video if possible. He needs experts and national trends involving three specific stories he's working on.
•How do express buses, and public transportation in general affect crime along their routes?
•The problem with oak mites … Is the problem affected by climate?
•Global warming? Trend toward winter snow drought and more severe weather and storms? What are the trends?
Here's sampling of Bob's stories, including one that has a data-visualization aspect to it.
•Missouri’s solar roadways to begin with sidewalk at historic Route 66 Welcome Center
•Researcher warns of more ‘driving while high’ deaths
•Van with cameras and lasers travels KC to study road conditions
