Our Fast Pitch session with Claire Brown, New Food Economy is scheduled for Wed., March. 14, at 2 pm ET. Claire is investigating the new food economy, which means the economy of the food chain. She's interested in stories about all parts of the supply chain from the farm to the fork, such as, food science studies, economic policies, trade agreements and legislation that affect the food chain, how food companies use data analytics, water quality both in drinking water and farm runoff, climate change effects on the food chain, including ocean acidification impacts on fisheries, and food waste. While she doesn't cover nutritional effects, she is interested in consumers choices and how they affect the economy of food.
