EVENT DESCRIPTION

Our Fast Pitch session (a virtual event) with Scott Jaschik, Inside Higher Ed is scheduled for Wed, Dec. 14, 2 pm EST.

Scott is interested in new ideas about higher education, such as teaching math in new ways or education research. What are the major challenges and how are you solving them? What are you doing in the hot topics such as sexual assault, admissions, student diversity, and economic challenges? For example, “the election has been very divisive on campuses; what are you doing to restore civility?”

Scott is not interested in typical announcements, such as gifts, buildings, grants, your presidents “walking on water.”

You can read about Scott at Insidehighered and you can also review his profile at LinkedIn

Pitches are more powerful if you share visuals; if this is new, we'll show you how to screenshare.

The event with Scott will last no longer than 30 minutes. After each pitch (no longer than 90 seconds, and we will be rigorous time keepers), he will have the opportunity to ask questions. The goals are:
1. to give Scott some great story ideas.
2. demonstrate how useful this virtual meetings technology can be for events such as this (nobody has to travel, but communication and engagement are not compromised).
3. help PIOs promote their experts and learn to pitch well.
4. promote good relationships and collaboration.

Registration is closed for this event.
