EVENT DESCRIPTION

Our Fast Pitch session with the editorial/reporting team at The Scientist is scheduled for Wed, Sept, 14 at 2 pm ET. They are interested in the crossover of music and science for a special issue of the magazine in March 2017. They are especially interested in life sciences research on music:

· music therapy
· music for fetuses in utero
· health effects of music
· science of music as a communication tool
· neuroscience research on music
· sensory perception, or the neuroesthetics of music; is it more than sound?
· relationship between music and human language
· evolution of music

Also there might be an article on a scientist who is a musician, and a possible inclusion in the careers section for scientists who are serious or accomplished performers

You can review The Scientist, especially special issues below. This will give the participants an idea of how they tackle a single topic.

· Sleep
· Aging
· HIV
· Hearing
· Food
· Sex

Pitches are more powerful if you share visuals; if this is new, we'll show you how to screenshare.

Registration is closed for this event.
