Dan mostly writes about science-flavored disasters: The opioids crisis, nuclear war, asteroids, hurricanes, earthquakes, mass hysteria, and/or science and politics. I also write about forensics mysteries, as well as the space program.

EVENT DESCRIPTION

*Dan says: “I mostly write about science-flavored disasters: The opioids crisis, nuclear war, asteroids, hurricanes, earthquakes, mass hysteria, and/or science and politics. I also write about forensics mysteries, as well as the space program. I like pitches about social science that touch on these areas, recent history that illuminates them, and more traditional research that points to good narratives, such as a researcher who interviews heroin dealers or led an interesting but under-reported investigation into some awful/intriguing thing. I don't do one shot 'study says' type stories very often.”
